The MotoGP paddock will line up two grids of 30 people as Moto2 and Moto3 line up for 2022 next season.

With the deadline for team applications now passed, Dorna has released the list of official challengers in MotoGP support classes for next season – although the full rider list has yet to be announced.

Among the confirmed riders will be Michael Laverty’s new all-British team VisionTrack Honda in Moto3, starring Scott Ogden and Josh Whatley, alongside the MTA squad who will strengthen their current commitments in the Italian CIV and the Junior World Championship.

VR46 will have a dual presence in Moto2 as the current Sky team – newly renamed Aramco VR46 Team – is joined by a brand new Yamaha VR46 Master Camp partnership. While the Avintia VR46 Riders Academy will also be looking to compete in Moto3.

Current heavy hitters Red Bull KTM Ajo return once again to defend both championships, with the Austrian manufacturer continuing to be represented by Tech3 in the lightweight class for another term. Elf Marc VDS of Sam Lowes, American Racing and Gresini are among the title contenders for Moto2 heading into the new season with no news on Jake Dixon or John McPhee’s destinations as of yet.
